IT Systems Administrator
Job Purpose:
As a key member of the IT Team, the Systems Administrator is responsible for keeping the company’s network, servers, and workstations updated and performing efficiently to serve our customers, install, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop applications, maintain all IT hardware, devices, and printers, create and maintain users for all systems, and maintain all aspects of the phone system.
This position will expose you to all positions in the company and you will sometimes work closely with the managers, software developers, outside managed service providers and vendors to complete tasks and projects.
This position reports directly to the IT Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide prompt and professional support to end users via phone, email, chat, or in person, ensuring minimal downtime and consistent user satisfaction.
Manage user accounts and access across systems, including onboarding, offboarding, and password resets.
Create and maintain workstation and laptop images for efficient deployment of devices.
Monitor and maintain server backups and snapshots to ensure system reliability and fast recovery.
Develop, implement, and document system policies, including Active Directory Group Policies and Microsoft 365 configurations.
Support core infrastructure components including Wireless Access, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
Maintain and troubleshoot physical and virtual servers, networking equipment, and server room environments.
Install, configure, and update server-based applications to ensure optimal performance and up-to-date functionality.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, with 8+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows Server (2012, 2019, 2022); certifications such as Microsoft Server Administration and M365 Administration are preferred.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, VMWare, Veeam, switches, and workstation builds using off-the-shelf components.
Strong background in SQL Server administration and Linux environments is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Comfortable presenting to large groups and being on call 24/7 if needed.
Experience working in EOS is a bonus but not required.

The hours of work will fluctuate based on the needs of the business and the needs of our customers. Occasionally, this position will require work hours beyond the normal workday based on the demands of the position.
